TIFF TO PDF

Convert TIFF to PDF

Scanners, fax systems and archives still produce .tif files that phones and many programs cannot open. Turn them into a PDF anyone can read.

TIFF

Drop your TIFF files here

Scans, faxes and .tif or .tiff images, multi-page too · JPG, PNG, GIF or BMP work too

HOW TO USE IT
  1. Add your .tif or .tiff files; you can mix them with JPG, PNG, GIF or BMP.
  2. Order them and choose Fit to image to keep the original paper size, or A4 / Letter.
  3. Press Create PDF and download it.
HOW IT WORKS

Every page, at its real size

Browsers other than Safari cannot open TIFF, so CLEKARA decodes it with UTIF.js, an open-source TIFF reader running in your browser. Every page of a multi-page TIFF becomes a page of the PDF, and the resolution stored in the file (for example 300 dpi) sets the page size, so a scanned A4 comes out as A4.

Black-and-white pages (faxes, text scans) are stored losslessly; color and gray pages as high-quality JPEG.

LIMITS

Worth knowing

Very large color TIFF files (hundreds of megabytes) may exceed a phone's memory; use a computer for those.

The PDF pages are images; run OCR PDF on the result to make the text searchable.
