150 DPI covers almost everything
Each page is rendered to a canvas at the resolution you chose and then encoded as JPEG. Higher DPI means a sharper image and a much bigger file — the size grows roughly with the square of the resolution.
Every image produced is checked before it is offered to you: it must start with the JPEG signature and end with the closing marker, so a truncated or empty file is never presented as a successful result.
Works with any kind of page
It does not matter whether the page is text, vector graphics or a scan — what is converted is the rendered page, exactly as it looks.
Very large pages at 300 DPI can exceed what a browser canvas allows, especially on iPhone and iPad. CLEKARA detects that limit and scales down instead of returning a blank image.
The output is a picture. Text inside it is no longer selectable or searchable.
Frequently asked questions
Which resolution should I choose?
150 DPI is right for most cases. Use 96 DPI for on-screen previews and 300 DPI only if the image will be printed.
Can I convert only some pages?
Yes. Enter the pages you want, such as 1-5 or 2, 4, 9. Leaving the field empty converts the whole document.
Can I download everything at once?
Yes, there is a ZIP button when there is more than one image.
Can I cancel halfway through?
Yes. Press Cancel and the conversion stops at the current page, releasing the resources it was using.
