Your signature is written into the page
When you download, every signature, date and text you placed is drawn into the content of its page, so it looks the same in Adobe Reader, Chrome, Preview or any other viewer, and it cannot be dragged around later. The rest of the document is copied as it was: text stays selectable and nothing is re-compressed.
The drawing pad smooths each stroke and makes it slightly thinner when you move fast, like real ink, so a signature made with a finger on a phone still looks natural. Typed signatures use handwriting fonts that are drawn as an image, so they look identical everywhere.
Worth knowing
This is an electronic signature: an image of your signature placed on the document, which is what most everyday forms, contracts and delivery notes ask for. It is not a certificate-based digital signature, which some public bodies and regulated contracts require; if yours does, check what the recipient accepts.
If the PDF already carries a digital signature, adding anything to it invalidates that signature. CLEKARA warns you when it detects one.
Password-protected PDFs cannot be modified until the protection is removed.
